Junior Paranormal Investigator Academy

Saturday, October 3rd | 3:30PM–6:00 PM | $35 per child with one accompanying adult

Recommended for ages 8–15. All children must attend with a parent or guardian.

What does it really mean to investigate the paranormal? During this hands-on academy, junior investigators will learn how paranormal teams collect information, use equipment, explore unusual experiences, and look for ordinary explanations before jumping to conclusions.

Participants will learn the difference between believing and investigating, why debunking is important, how to respect historic locations, and how to investigate safely without provoking or trying to frighten anyone.

Junior investigators will have the opportunity to handle and test a variety of equipment, including EMF meters, motion-activated lights, digital recorders, temperature guns, flashlights, cat balls, a laser grid, a spirit box, and dowsing rods.

The academy will also include a guided tour of several well-known areas of The Old Glenbeulah School, followed by a short, respectful paranormal investigation. We’ll finish by reviewing observations and discussing what may—or may not—have caused the sounds and experiences recorded during the investigation.

Experiencing something unusual is never guaranteed, and that is part of real paranormal investigating. The goal is to observe, ask questions, think critically, and have fun exploring.

Each junior investigator will receive supplies to use during the event and take home. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
